Overview

2.5 year research post in Interventional Cardiology, allowing a suitably motivated doctor to produce high quality Interventional Research with the remit of producing publishable work, submitting for an MD or PhD, and furthering their own expertise in a range of interventional procedures.

The post will suit a Cardiologist in training already experienced in both Invasive and Clinical Cardiology – at ST4 level or above. You must possess a Medical Degree, and be proficient in Adult Cardiology and in Trans-thoracic Echocardiography. The post is for 2.5 years, and subject to satisfactory performance will include, at the end, a funded six month European Fellowship to pursue interventional training in Structural Heart Disease.

The aim is to complete an MD related to intervention (predominantly clinical research work), and consists primarily of research sessions plus 2 or 3 clinical sessions per week (which include some PCI training)
